Scott No.: 854a
Date of Issue: September 3, 1993
According to the insert in the FDC: "The Table Mountain Ghost Frog, Heleophryne rosei, has a very restricted distribution on Table Mountain in the Cape Peninsula, where it inhabits forested gorges in wet mountain fynbos. The tadpoles are specially adapted for life in fast-flowing mountain streams and any interference with the flow of the water, such as the construction of reservoirs, planting of alien vegetation and afforestation, threatens their survival."
