Special Prefecture Issue, "Willow and Frog"
According to the insert in the FDC to the left: "Ono-no Tofu was one of the three great calligraphers of [the] Heian period together with Fujiwara-no Sukemasa and Fujiwara-no Yukinari. He was also in the present Kasugai City, Achi Prefecture. It is believed that Michikaze realized the importance of making continuous efforts by watching a frog jumping again and again to reach a willow sprig, which led him to be a great calligrapher."
